Black Desert
Not far from Bawiti, the main capital of Bahariya, there is the Black Desert. The Black Desert got its name because of the black mountains you find here everywhere. This mountains are with the golden color of the sand a sight for the gods, especially in winter, because in winter the sky shines deep blue. The cause for the black mountains and rocks are vulcanic activities in the past.
Western Desert
The Wstern or Libyan Desert can be seen as one of the most beautiful and fantastic deserts worldwide. Maybe it is even the most beautiful and fantastic. In only a few days you would be able to see and experience the different desert landscapes. From sand deserts (especially the great sandsea) to rock deserts and to the Black and White Desert you find here every face of the desert.
